Everyone says that college is something that we all have to go through. College is essential because without it, we will never get a high paying job or we will never succeed in life. The truth is, there are more young adults that never received a degree that are teaching right now. They learned that with some courage and support, they can make it.
Even though you may have a better chance of getting teaching job with college, you don't need it. Have you ever heard of the stories where the high school grad is now the president of some huge corporation? If so, it wasn't because he knew someone or because he got lucky, it was because he knew how to impress people.
Communication skills are what will take you to the next level if you want to be come a teacher. You could be the smartest person in the world, but without communication, no one will ever notice you. So the first step in becoming a teacher is communication. Reach out to other teachers and learn from them. What makes them so special, what separates them from the pack, and what can you do better.
Learning from other successful teachers will help you learn the key roles in becoming one yourself. Learn how they interact with their students and their colleagues. Learn how they incorporate their own skills into their students.
So when it comes time to go the interview, you will already know what it takes to be the best teacher there is.
